On a day without Kylian Mbappe in the lineup, PSG had to struggle significantly to overcome Nice in the rescheduled match of Ligue 1 2023/24’s 32nd round.
On the evening of May 15th, PSG had an away match against Nice as part of the rescheduled fixture of the 32nd round of Ligue 1 2023/24.
Despite star player Kylian Mbappe being unable to play in this match due to injury, PSG still ensured a goal-scoring output after quick strikes in the first half by Bradley Barcola (18′) and Yoram Zague (23′).
Bradley Barcola had an outstanding performance today.
Meanwhile, Nice had a header hitting the crossbar from Khephren Thuram very early, and they narrowed the scoreline when Mohamed-Ali scored in the 32nd minute. In the following minutes, Jeremie Boga, Terem Moffi, and substitute Gaetan Laborde came close to equalizing, but Nice’s hopes of restoring balance were dashed when Melvin Bard received a red card in the 75th minute.
Taking advantage of the numerical superiority, PSG took control of possession and imposed their dominance. Star player Barcola hit the ball against the post in the dying minutes of the match, although the reigning champions PSG did not pay the price for that miss. If they avoid defeat against Metz next Sunday, the Parisian club will become the first team in Ligue 1 history to go through an entire season unbeaten away from home.
