THIAGO SILVA leaves Chelsea to return to his homeland Brazil to play

Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Fluminense is planning to recruit midfielder Thiago Silva from Chelsea.

Thiago Silva has enjoyed remarkable success in the colors of Chelsea. However, at the age of 39, he is clearly no longer suited to the fast-paced style of play in the Premier League. The player has shared with the media on several occasions about his dream of returning home to play before retiring.

Silva’s contract with Chelsea will expire at the end of this season, and at this point, Fluminense has approached Silva. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Fluminense is planning to sign a contract with Silva for up to two years.

Romano wrote on Twitter: “Fluminense is planning to make Thiago Silva sign a formal contract until June 2026 in about 10-15 days.”

“The verbal agreement is already in place as reported last week, currently working to finalize the details and sign the documents in London. Thiago’s return is a matter of time,” Romano added.

This season, Chelsea has had an unsuccessful campaign, and it is highly likely that in the upcoming summer, the club’s owners will heavily invest in a significant revolution.
