Havertz joined Arsenal from their city rivals Chelsea in last summer’s transfer window for a fee of £65 million. After a difficult initial period, the German star gradually integrated into the team’s style of play and became one of the irreplaceable pillars.

After appearing 49 times across all competitions, the midfielder born in 1999 has scored 13 goals.

Before joining Arsenal, Havertz endured three unsuccessful years at Chelsea despite winning a Champions League title. However, in a recent interview on iQIYI, the 24-year-old player revealed his desire to reunite with his former teammate at The Blues, Felix, while wearing the Arsenal shirt.

“I don’t know, I think we already have a perfect squad, and I’m happy to be a part of this club. But Felix is a fantastic player, he would be a quality signing, but I have to reiterate, I’m very happy to have joined Arsenal,” said Havertz.

Havertz and Felix spent six months side by side at Chelsea during the latter half of the 2022/23 season when the Portuguese star landed at Stamford Bridge on loan from Atletico Madrid.

Furthermore, in the same interview, Havertz expressed his hope for the Gunners to win the Premier League this season, despite no longer having destiny in their own hands. Although they are currently topping the table, with only a one-point lead over Manchester City, Arsenal have played one more match than their rivals.

“I’m enjoying every second. I want to give my best to this club. The next matches will be very difficult, we have to win the remaining two matches and wait to see what happens. But right now, the whole team is in a good mood, all are looking forward to the match with Manchester United and want to win 3 points,” Havertz added.
