Nike joined forces with football sensation Kylian Mbappé and his foundation, Inspired By Kylian Mbappé, to orchestrate a dynamic sports day for thousands of aspiring young athletes in Paris. This event marked the beginning of a series aimed at motivating youth to excel through sports.
On Sunday, May 5, over 2,000 teenagers congregated in front of the renowned Nike House of Innovation on the Champs Elysées. They enthusiastically participated in various challenges including running, breakdancing, tennis, football, and basketball, all while being inspired by their idol.
“A year ago, I wanted to organize a sports challenge with 2,024 young people on the most beautiful avenue in the world with my foundation,” says Kylian, a Nike ambassador. “I am happy to say today that we have done it, and thanks to Nike, with whom we share the same values and ambitions: to inspire youth to give their best through sports.”
This event signifies the inaugural phase of Nike’s “Victory Mode” tour, aimed at introducing young individuals throughout Île-de-France to new sports and engaging challenges.
Next on the agenda is Nanterre on May 18, commemorating basketball star Victor Wembanyama’s homecoming to France. Subsequently, five more stops are scheduled across the wider Paris region throughout June and July, culminating in a grand finale at Centre Pompidou on August 11.
“Like all these young people, great champions have inspired me,” Kylian says. “They made me want to push my limits to achieve and be the best. That’s the victory mode. Today, I am proud to pass on these values to the next generation.”
