Kylian Mbappe had a less happy day, played lacklusterly and then was ‘left behind’ by the PSG bus… at Signal Iduna Park, after a 0-1 defeat to Dortmund, first leg of the C1 Cup semi-finals.

The 25-year-old striker and his PSG teammates confidently went to Germany for a trip to Borussia Dortmund, after being crowned early in Ligue 1.

However, Mbappe had an unsatisfactory night of play, being carefully ‘taken care of’ by Dortmund, unable to make a difference for PSG. The most notable situation in Mbappe’s match was his shot hitting the post in the second half. As a result, Mbappe and his PSG teammates suffered a 0-1 defeat to Dortmund, thanks to Niclas Fullkrug’s only goal in the 36th minute, the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals.

After the match, he was also ‘left behind’ by PSG’s bus at the stadium, because he was randomly selected to be tested for banned substances.

However, Mbappe’s ordeal didn’t end with the defeat; according to Le Parisien, he was even left behind by PSG’s team bus and had to travel to the airport separately afterward.

The reason behind this was Mbappe having to stay longer at the stadium than his teammates, as he was randomly selected by the tournament organizers for a doping test. According to UEFA regulations, the PSG striker needed to complete the mandatory test before joining the team at the airport.

Mbappe is set to leave PSG this summer on a free transfer. If he helps the wealthy French club overturn the situation against Dortmund in the Champions League semi-final second leg next week, he could face his future club, Real Madrid, provided Ancelotti’s side triumphs over Bayern Munich (drawing 2-2 in the first leg).
