The home team Bayern Munich welcomed Los Blancos at the Allianz Arena in their first leg semi-final match of the UEFA Champions League. The German side started the game well, creating several opportunities but failed to capitalize on them. Vinicius then scored the opening goal in the 24th minute with an excellent assist from Toni Kroos.

Bayern Munich came back strongly in the second half and equalized in the 53rd minute thanks to a superb solo effort by Leroy Sane and an unstoppable shot from outside the penalty area. Just four minutes later, the hosts were awarded a penalty after Lucas Vazquez fouled Jamal Musiala inside the box.

Harry Kane stepped up and successfully converted the penalty. But just before the English forward was about to take the penalty kick, his compatriot and younger teammate Bellingham approached. The player from the Real Madrid academy whispered something in the striker’s ear, but it clearly had no effect.

Bellingham was caught whispering something to his senior Harry Kane as he prepared to take the penalty kick.

After the match, when asked about what the 20-year-old player said to him, striker Harry Kane told TNT Sports: “Honestly, I don’t know what he was saying. I saw Bellingham there mumbling something, but I’ll have to ask again to see what he was really saying. In that moment, I was just focused on blocking out everything around me.

But I’m sure Bellingham was saying something trying to disturb me. Fortunately, everything was fine with me. I also found it quite amusing to hear what he was saying, but honestly, as I shared, I didn’t hear or understand what Bellingham was saying at all.”

After being led 2-1, Vinicius then equalized for Real Madrid in the 83rd minute through a penalty, from a play where South Korean defender Kim Min-jae fouled Rodrygo inside the box.

Kane and Bellingham are close teammates on the England squad.

In terms of Bellingham, the English player didn’t have his best performance against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. He completed 44 out of 49 passes, succeeded in 2 out of 3 dribbles, won 6 out of 11 duels, and had one key pass.

After that, Bellingham was substituted out in the 60th minute for veteran Luka Modric. When asked about Bellingham’s performance in the match, coach Carlo Ancelotti told Managing Madrid: “Jude Bellingham wasn’t in his best condition, but I felt the whole Real Madrid team was the same. Bellingham had cramps after 60 minutes, so I had to take him off. However, Bellingham is still the most important player in the squad.”

The second leg of the Champions League semi-final will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu on May 8th. Prior to that, Bayern will face Stuttgart away in the Bundesliga on May 4th. Meanwhile, Bellingham and his teammates will host Cadiz in La Liga on the same day.
