The fiery nature of the North London derby between Tottenham and Arsenal is evident in every clash, every goal, and even Bukayo Saka’s celebration dance.

Right on Tottenham’s turf, Mikel Arteta’s disciples ignited the game just 15 minutes in, as Hojbjerg inadvertently put the ball into his own net, opening the scoring for the visiting team. Just minutes later, Saka celebrated with a “ear cupping” gesture aimed towards a section of Tottenham fans after executing a corner kick.

Slow-motion footage reveals that before taking the corner kick, Saka was taunted by opposing fans about his missed penalty in the EURO 2020 final. However, the English midfielder once again silenced the stands with a goal to double Arsenal’s lead.

“Poor Ben Davies,” Sky Sports commentator Paul Merson remarked. “But you know, Saka’s going to come in from that right-hand side. You can’t let him do that.”

Speaking after the crucial derby victory, Saka provided his perspective on the most dramatic Premier League title race in years.

Saka ăn mừng khiêu khích fan Tottenham

Saka provocatively celebrates, taunting the Tottenham fans.

“Man City is a fantastic team, but they’re not perfect,” he told Sky Sports. “No one is perfect. They can drop points. We just need to do our job and see where that takes us.”

“There aren’t many mistakes to fix, like they’ve shown in the previous season and the seasons before that. Now, we have experience. We’ve learned from last year. We’re ready for the last three matches.”

He added, “Perhaps last season, this match could have ended in a draw. Today, we’ve shown our experience. We could come here and take three points, even under immense pressure in such an important match. I’m very pleased.”

“We knew this was a big derby and they didn’t want to lose 0-3 at home. When Tottenham scored, the fans were passionate, they were pumped up, and the momentum was with them. But I’m proud of all my teammates. They fought until the end and secured the three points.”

“We know what this means for the fans and for us. It’s everything. We know this is a crucial match for us, and there are three more to go. We’ll give it our all and see where that takes us.”
