Young talent from Germany, player Jamal Musiala, expressed learning a lot from Barcelona players.
In an interview statement, Musiala said he chose the number 10 because of his favorite players, all from FC Barcelona: Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Ronaldinho, who all wore the number 10 jersey on the field.
Musiala shared: “I grew up in the era of Ronaldinho, Neymar, and Messi. They all wore number 10, and for me, wearing that jersey has always been my dream.”
The 21-year-old star of Bayern Munich also once again confirmed that his favorite players are “undoubtedly Messi and Ronaldinho”, although the German player also admitted to loving France, Juventus, and Zinedine Zidane when he was younger. However, his number one idol is certainly Messi.
The young player currently playing for Bayern admires Messi.
“I admire him a lot and am always fascinated by him. I watched Leo and Neymar play when I was growing up. They are my favorites because they helped me learn a lot and served as a source of inspiration in my football journey.
I always learn from them: watching Leo score goals or Neymar execute dribbles. Then I would go to the field and try to imitate them. I have always been their fan,” Musiala shared.
However, the German player noted that he is not ready to compare himself on par with the Argentine superstar: “I don’t think I can compare anything with Messi, and that’s almost an impossible task. I believe comparing myself to Leo or any other player is futile. I pursue my career year by year, and I continue to play to try to become better and win titles for my team.”

Musiala, the youngest player to debut for Bayern Munich in 2020, has already won 4 Bundesliga titles and 1 Champions League with the club.
However, the German star asserts that he still has a long way to go to achieve a legacy like Lionel’s 8 Ballon d’Or awards. He feels that his daily progress could pave the way for such an achievement.
