PSG’s coach, Luis Enrique, is still waiting to hear about Kylian Mbappe’s future plans after witnessing the forward score two goals to turn the tide and secure victory against Barcelona in the Champions League second leg, sending PSG to the semi-finals.

Mbappe has been predicted to join Real Madrid at the end of the season, but he has yet to make an official announcement about his future. There are rumors suggesting that the transfer will be announced after the two clubs no longer have the possibility of meeting in this season’s Champions League. PSG will next face Borussia Dortmund to compete for a spot in the final, while Real Madrid will take on Bayern Munich in the other bracket.

Coach Luis Enrique may be waiting for a decision from Mbappe, but he seems prepared to move forward with life without the French player. He has often benched Mbappe this season, getting the team “used” to playing without him. Luis Enrique has also hinted that Mbappe could stay at PSG this season, although it still appears that he wants to join Real Madrid when his contract expires in the summer.

Enrique told reporters, “Let’s wait and see what Mbappe says about his future. When he and PSG make everything public, we will see. It’s like a process. Until Mbappe announces it himself, I’m just waiting and keeping silent.”

Luis Enrique also continued to praise Mbappe for his performance, saying, “Mbappe is the leader of the team in the match against Barca, that’s undeniable. The whole team put great pressure, including Kylian, Ousmane Dembele, and Bradley Barcola. When Mbappe leads the attack, the team becomes much stronger. That’s what we want. It proves that he can be the leader of PSG, and when Kylian does that, we are even better.”
