Arsenal still holds an advantage in the race for the Premier League title, but according to Rio Ferdinand, Man Utd will make the Gunners regret.
Manchester United is a team with unpredictable form
Legend of Manchester United, Rio Ferdinand, has pointed out 2 matches that he believes will make Arsenal lose the Premier League title. In his predictions for the remainder of the season for Arsenal on TNT Sport channel, Ferdinand believes that the Gunners will lose 1-2 to their city rivals Tottenham, followed by another defeat against Man Utd in the final round. The former Red Devils defender predicts that Erik ten Hag’s team will win 3-2.
After predicting the results of the remaining matches for the title contenders, Ferdinand believes Arsenal will finish 2nd with 86 points if everything goes as expected. Liverpool will finish 3rd with the same points but a lower goal difference, helping Man City successfully defend the title for the 4th consecutive time.
Liverpool has been a victim of Manchester United this season.
Currently, Arteta’s goal is to focus entirely on tonight’s match against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium. Although Arsenal plays after both Man City and Liverpool, Arteta is not overly concerned. In the pre-match press conference, he declared: “We will know the results of the other teams, but we still have the task of winning our match, that’s the only thing we can control.”
“This has happened a few times and will continue to happen in the coming weeks, so we just focus on what we can do, what we can control and make sure we play as necessary against a really quality opponent to try to beat them.”
When asked about how Arsenal players are coping with the pressure of the title race, Arteta dismissed any concerns about his players being tense as the season draws to a close. “I think it’s just motivation,” he said. “I think they’ve experienced this feeling before, and they’re very excited about what we’re doing and how the team is playing, winning matches, and they want more.”
