Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham highlights love of Birmingham with incredible new one of a kind inscription autograph trading card

When you open a pack of Topps UEFA Club Competitions 2023/24, you could well be in for a big surprise.

Inserted into one lucky piece of foil, will be an incredible one of a kind Jude Bellingham inscription autograph trading card.

And to make it extra special, the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder made a point of honouring his roots.

Writing in blue, seemingly a nod to his boyhood club, Bellingham inked ‘Just a Boy from Birmingham’ on the highly sought after card.

Speaking to Topps, he said: “Being from where I’m from, not many people get the opportunity to come and play for Real Madrid, you know?

“I’m probably one of the first Brummies to ever play in LaLiga, let alone Real Madrid.

“I’m really proud of where I’m from and the people who have helped raise me from Birmingham.

“I feel like I’m still a normal kid, just living the dream really.”

The card is now set to create a real buzz in the community and it will be worth a handsome sum to the lucky owner who pulls it.

Commenting on the news, Jason Flynn, Host of the Soccer Cards United Podcast, said: “Bellingham’s one-of-one autograph market is extremely healthy and shows no signs of slowing down with his performances at Real Madrid. We could see this card fetching up to $10,000 [£8,000] at auction.

“Inscription autographs are new to the soccer card market and collectors are still deciding on where they fit in the hierarchy but given Jude’s superstar status, young age, and the number of high-end collectors already interested in him, it’s not hard to see this card attracting massive interest.

“Most of the best cards on the market are players’ rookie cards and it’s very rare to see a player have a fourth year card that will generate as much interest as this one will.

“That’s what we want to see going forward, we want to see cards all through a player’s career that get collectors excited and give us that thrill of the chase feeling; ‘just a boy from Birmingham’ has certainly done that.”
