Arsenal will continue to improve their squad, bringing in quality newcomers in the summer of 2024. Alexander Isak is one of the targets recently linked to Arsenal. In the past, the Gunners have pursued the Swedish striker when he played for Real Sociedad.

Arsenal will need to spend a large sum if they want to acquire Isak’s signature. In contrast to the majority view, former football star Emmanuel Petit believes that Arsenal should not sign the 24-year-old forward. Sharing his opinion with Genting Casino, Petit stated :

£100 million for Alexander Isak? No way. If Arsenal were to spend that amount on Declan Rice, it might be acceptable as he brings value to the team. Regarding Isak’s case, I’m not sure if he will shine.

“I don’t think Arsenal spending a large sum to sign Isak is a wise decision. Arsenal has a very good transfer policy and plan. They should maintain that instead of splashing cash in the transfer market like Chelsea and Newcastle.”

“Arsenal shouldn’t spend like that. Isak is a quality addition. However, there are other players outside of England with equivalent caliber.”
