Martin Odegaard warns Arsenal to ‘respect’ Harry Kane as he highlights Bayern Munich striker’s best qualities ahead of Champions League quarter-final showdown
Martin Odegaard has issued a warning to his teammates at Arsenal regarding Harry Kane’s “respect” prior to their Champions League matchup with Bayern Munich.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Kane and Bayern enter the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal matchup with Arsenal having suffered a crushing loss to recently promoted Heidenheim on Saturday. They also suffered a setback at the hands of Borussia Dortmund the previous weekend, one week before their quarterfinal matchup at the Emirates. Nevertheless, the England striker has been outstanding in his Bayern debut season, tallying 38 goals in 37 games in addition to dishing out 12 assists.

Odegaard has cautioned his fellow Gunners teammates not to take Thomas Tuchel’s struggling team lightly because of Kane’s incredible season. With 16 points separating them from leaders Bayer Leverkusen, the team is almost guaranteed to finish second in the Bundesliga this year.

“I think we should respect him, but I don’t think we should fear anyone,” Odegaard said in response to the question of whether Arsenal should be afraid of Kane.
