After Arsenal’s victory over Brighton in the Premier League, Mikel Arteta’s concerns about his injuries have decreased. This season, the Gunners have been hindered by injuries and significant absences, but those are finally seems to be decreasing as the final stretch gets underway.

Bukayo Saka returned to the starting lineup on the south coast, but he was not included in the team that defeated Luton Town on Wednesday night. The 3-0 triumph was secured by the England international, who was substituted somewhat after the hour, probably with an eye towards Arteta’s match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarterfinal.

For Arteta, resting all of his main players would be a luxury, but William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are just too crucial. The Brazil international went down during Saturday’s match due to an impact injury, and Arsenal supporters must have been terrified to see him on the deck.

That being said, in front of Arsenal’s European matchup with Bayern, football.london has examined the most recent injury news for the team:

Bukayo Saka

Damage: Muscular.

Saka was back in the starting lineup for the trip to Brighton after missing the match against Luton Town. Saka scored on his comeback to give Arsenal the lead before being replaced in the 64th minute.

What Arteta has to say: “He’s okay, yes.”

Possible date of return: Received back.

Gabriel Magalhaes

Gabriel Magalhaes was taken down shortly before halftime when Danny Welbeck attempted to stop a clearance and followed through. After being examined by Arsenal’s physiotherapists, the Brazil international continued and played the entire ninety minutes.

Damage: Not specified.

Possible return date: Tuesday, April 9, Bayern Munich (H).

Jurrien Timber

Knee injury

After suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury during the Premier League match against Nottingham Forest back in August, the defender has been recuperating. He only made one further appearance, which was against Manchester City in the Community Shield.

Before the break, Timber was in team training. Timber was left off the team to play Brighton, despite Arteta’s hopes that he will return to the field this season.

Arteta’s statement: “He’s doing fantastically.” Although he’s back in training and not far off, his last step is that he hasn’t played any minutes.

Does he have to play for the Under-21 team? Is two games all he needs? He trains with us all the time to see how long he will need for that final, difficult, and occasionally time-consuming part. I hope he returns as soon as possible.

“I believe he has a strong opportunity to play this season again. I’m not sure what the percentage is, but he has a strong opportunity and will work hard to make it work.”
